African Energy Efficient Stove Project.

To create "Carbon Zero Exhibition Stands" we are offsetting the carbon emissions through co2balance's Afrcan Energy Efficient Stove Project in Kenya. The project is owned an managed by co2balance to garantee a quality carbon offset. All the stoves are tagged with a GPS reference so that you can 'zoom in' using Google Earth or similar and see the results of your carbon saving actions.

The project builds energy saving cooking stoves for families in Kenya. The stoves replace fuel intensive open fires and reduce the amount of firewood needed for cooking by 70% .

As well as saving carbon emissions, the project has social and financial benefits to the community as well as an environmental one. The stoves reduce the amount of time spent collecting firewood, are built localy creating employment and the reduced need for firewood helps prevent deforestation.
